Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a high level of vulnerability to natural disasters, particularly earthquakes. The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) region frequently experiences seismic shocks, including the 2018 Lombok earthquake that caused significant losses to the community. In this context, community service activities were carried out at the Al-Intishor Islamic Education Foundation in Mataram, adopting the Islamic Sciences Tramping approach as an integrative framework that combines scientific literacy, Islamic values, and empowerment of Islamic boarding school communities. The main objective of the activity was to improve disaster literacy among students and teachers through a participatory-educational approach. The activity methods included delivering disaster mitigation materials based on science and Islamic values, interactive discussions, earthquake evacuation simulations, and empowering teachers as agents of program sustainability. The implementation results showed a significant increase in students' understanding of mitigation procedures, emergency response skills through repeated simulations, and teachers' commitment to integrating disaster topics into thematic learning at Islamic boarding schools. Documentation of the activity demonstrated high enthusiasm from participants, both students and teachers, which confirmed the relevance of the Islamic Sciences Tramping approach as an effective medium for building disaster literacy. This program not only provides direct benefits for increasing preparedness in the Islamic boarding school environment, but also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially quality education (SDG 4) and sustainable communities (SDG 11).
